Automated 6-Mil Poly-Bag Heat Sealing System

This machine was designed and built for E.S. Robbins Corp. Its purpose is to build a plastic bag around desk chair mats for overseas shipment. The sizes of mats range from 32 to 48 inches wide by 32 to 120 inches long — the machine easily adjusts to accommodate different sizes. An operator places a desk mat and a cardboard layer on the roller conveyor. The machine automatically inserts the mat and cardboard between two layers of 6-mil plastic. As the mat starts into the machine, the leading edge is sealed, then the sides, then the back. The sealed desk mat is then placed on a pallet.
